STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
In order to become a church alive in the grace of God, offering Christ,
transforming lives, and changing our world through the power of the Holy
Spirit, the Conference has implemented seven strategic initiatives. (To

The following seventh initiative was approved at Annual Conference 2006:
TO EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CARE FOR CLERGY, STAFF AND LAITY AND TO FACILITATE INTENTIONAL HEALTH MINISTRIES FOR BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT IN AND THROUGH OUR CHURCHES.
Our task now is to enable and empower clergy, congregations and individuals to achieve these goals through health ministries and self-care practices. HolyHealthy UMC is designed to provide the resources necessary to turn the vision into reality!
As a clergy family or staff, you will find resources available to help you achieve these goals personally, as well as how to help those you minister to. As a congregation, you will find resources on fulfilling the Initiative by developing and growing effective health and wellness ministries in your local church and communities. Every individual accessing this site can gain access to valuable information on "total health" and self-care.
